Time To Make America Great Again

Friday, January 20, 1917.  Inauguration Day.  After 28 long years, it’s time to restore America to the great nation it was during the Reagan era.  Many of us—perhaps even most of us—who voted for Donald Trump did so, not for the man per se. but for the message.  In actuality, we voted against the blatant bias and outright lies of the mass media, the utter depravity and immorality of the Hollywood elite, and the corruption and evil of the political establishment.

Say what you want about Donald Trump–his arrogant lifestyle, his monstrous ego, his penchant for personal attacks.  But at least, unlike his predecessor, he doesn’t hate America.  Unlike his predecessor, he won’t betray our ally, Israel.  Unlike his predecessor, he won’t give billions of dollars to our mortal enemy, Iran.  And, unlike his predecessor, he won’t turn our country into a sanctuary for criminal illegal aliens and Islamic terrorists.

Donald Trump and the Republican Party now have a mandate.  They now control both the executive and legislative branches of our federal government.  There should now be no excuses for failing to keep their campaign promises, namely:

—appointing judges who will uphold the Constitution of the United States;

—securing our borders (i.e., building a wall on our Southern border);

—putting an end to sanctuary cities;

—deporting criminal illegal aliens;

—keeping Syrian “refugees” (aka potential terrorists) from entering our country;

—withdrawing our participation in the Transpacific Partnership (TPP);

—scrapping the traitorous Iran “deal”;

—moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem;

—defunding the United Nations; and

—providing real affordable health care.

Whether Trump’s promises were intended to be kept, or whether they were merely campaign rhetoric, remains to be seen.  But until and unless they are broken, I will continue to support President Trump.  It is time to put America and the American people first once again.  It is indeed time to make America great again!

Former Laguna Niguel (CA) City Councilman
